Recommendations
The parish's views on limiting the growth of Bradworthy should be made known to Torridge District and Devon County Councils as a matter of urgency.
The Parish Council should follow the wishes of the majority of respondents and limit the growth of the village to housing specifically needed by local people, particularly starter homes, so that Bradworthy's special character is not lost.
Local builders and Parish Councillors should be encouraged to ensure that new developments are in keeping with the traditional architecture of the village.
' Design should be in keeping with local traditional buildings '
It would be environmentally beneficial to use environmentally sound designs by ecological architects, to include energy and water-efficiency features such as solar panels and grey-water reuse systems.
Links could be forged with a local Housing Association to create homes to rent for local people.
Any new development could be supplied with heat and power from the bio-digester plant.
